Apple iPhone 5 sales predicted to hit 8 million over the weekend
The Apple iPhone 5 was launched on September 12 started pre-order on 14th September and started shipping on Friday 21st September, the iPhone 5 is finally here, and in just 24 hours when pre-order began, 2 million entry has been recorded.
Trust analysts, they always have something to say, they have predicted the sales performance of the iPhone 5 in its first weekend, with a non-traditional method of research; an analyst has make its prediction.
Piper Jaffray team made a research from the queue at Apple store in New York, Boston, and Minneapolis yesterday, they made a survey at the lines and it revealed that the crowds out there at the iPhone 5 line are 83% more than those that attended the predecessor iPhone 4S.
This made the analyst to this company to make its prediction that the Apple iPhone 5 will sell 8 million units in its opening weekend, the prediction is still standing within the 6-10 million previous forecasts. More so, the iPhone 5 is expected to have shipped in its 49 million units for the first full quarter and the coming holiday quarter.
By Monday, we should be able to have figures to confirm the prediction, it is certain that the iPhone 5 will set a new record for fastest selling smartphone.
